Overall in charge of technical matters of ships under his care
Planning
controlling and execution of all activities connected with maintenance
repairs
survey and certificate requirements
dry-docking
conversion or modification of assigned vessels
Updating
implementing and monitoring Fleet Management system including Engine Maintenance Programs
Formulating a dynamic work plan and action list with the Chief Engineer to ensure that the vessel is maintained in accordance with Company’s policy and to receive regular reports as to its progress
Assist in selecting suitable Chief Engineer
Engineer Officers & ratings for vessels under his care
Verifying the work and performance of Chief Engineer Engineer officers and rating
Attend to oil majors’ vetting requirements of the Company and the fleet
Monitor fuel oil & lube oil testing result and take necessary corrective action promptly
Ensure engine room stores
spares and other maintenance items supplied on board on time and sufficient stock maintained on board at all times
Assist in maintaining the Company’s TMSA
Keep abreast
update and implement New Rules Regulations and legislations applicable to the Company and Fleet
Assist in planning coordinating and attending to new-build delivery and sale of vessel as required
Participate in maritime organizations committees and working groups as and when required
Draw up implement and monitor the budget and cost control for the fleet including docking and modifications

Requirements:
Possess Certificate of Competency (Engine) Class 2/3
Preferably in marine engineering with minimum two years superintendent experience and minimum two years sailing as 2nd Engineer on tankers
Computer literate
Good Interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Able to make quick decision and solve technical problem whenever arise
Manage crew home allotment shipboard wages and cash to master related tasks
Apply renew and cancel harbor crew work permit
Monitor the crew sign on and sign off date
Manage and update crew list and provide manpower statistic whenever required
Administer crew medical report and pre-employment checkup (New & Renewal)
Prepare annual crew income tax clearance and IR21
Application and renewal of Security Bond
Administer crew leave application record
Monitor PPE stock and record
Update and maintain crew information and records in Ship Manager
Assist in external audit preparation
Monitor and update crew welfare activities and crew seminar
Any other duties as assigned by Manager and Management
Requirements:
GCE O level/A level or diploma holders (preferably in Maritime Studies/Business/HR) with at least 2 years relevant experience Proficient with Microsoft applications especially Excel spreadsheet A team player with good attitude and meticulous Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Able to work and commit under tight deadlines
